Chabad of Bologna welcomes Jewish students, local residents, families, and visitors from around the world.
Our story
Chabad of Bologna was established in 1976 by Rabbi Eliyahu and Mrs. Mindy Borenstein to create a welcoming Jewish home for students, residents, and visitors in this historic city and throughout the region.
In 2025, Rabbi Levi and Mrs. Menucha Braun moved to Bologna to continue this work and expand Chabad’s activities, hospitality, and community programs throughout the region.
Friends of Chabad of Bologna Inc.
Friends of Chabad of Bologna Inc. is a registered nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the educational, cultural, and community work of Chabad of Bologna.
Its support helps make possible Jewish student programs, hospitality for visitors, holiday events, learning opportunities, community services, and outreach throughout Bologna and the surrounding region.
Through fundraising, administration, and community development, Friends of Chabad of Bologna Inc. helps Chabad continue to provide a welcoming Jewish home for everyone who lives in or visits the region.
